For Earth Day, we looked at our energy consumption in 2025 and were surprised to learn that our CO2 consumption per user was 1 gram.   This is amazing, especially when compared to Big Tech!

That’s great, but I don’t think you can really compare them like that.

TutaMail and TutaCalendar are, after all, just a fraction of the others being compared. What’s more, they’re very limited in terms of features.

But that doesn’t change the fact that you should steer clear of the cloud giants being compared.

@Alejandro_P @Tutanota yeah those statements would really be more interesting with sources for the claimed number for Google/Microsoft, and a proper audit for their announced emissions.
Otherwise this look like an attempt at greenwashing, which isn't acceptable.
