The criteria for who can nominate someone for Nobel's peace prize are quite broad: In addition to former winners and members of the committee itself, a nomination can also be raised by anyone who is a sitting member of a national parliament or government, and anyone who is a professor of history, social science, jurisprudence, philosophy or theology.
Also, the committee does not publish or confirm nominations, so all claims about nominations are unoffical.

@mason @MJmusicinears Hi from east Europe. What is officially a war, is not the only violence a people can receive. Peace between two political entities does not mean their people will receive some peacetime.

Alfred Nobel invented ballistite which went into weapons. He made it specifically to be used in weapons. Mr. Peace Prize was an arms manufacturer and a hypocrite.
He sold 300,000 kg of ballistite to the Italian Army. He ran a factory in Italy which made it. It was used in bullets, grenades, and mortars. If he felt guilty it's because he was guilty.
