@Remittancegirl Do you have a theory as to why so many rich and powerful men sexually predate on children (usually underage girls)? Is it a control thing? Is that why it's so normalised?
I refuse to believe it's men in general. Look at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder, such as the prison population, and few things will put you more at risk than being a convicted paedophile; you're considered the lowest of the low.

I agree with you - it's not men in general.
Very rich men have can have/buy almost anything their hearts desire. Having everything makes life feel very flat.
The only things that are prohibited to them are the truly grave social taboos - incest, cannibalism and pedophilia. They want what they are prohibited, and this is all that's left. My guess is that if they've indulged in one of those, they've probably attempted to engage in all of them.
