@NicksWorld @ratking @SapphireRose91 Personally, and this is for me only, I use a Mac because it is the operating system on a computer that works most consistently with braille every single time. It doesn't matter which display it is it doesn't matter what kind of connection, Bluetooth or USB I can get braille every single time and for me that is the most important thing. I can work around everything else, but if I don't have braille, I don't have access and I know windows has NVDA and jaws and every time I try and use a display with one of these at some point I have to have a hearing person or someone who can see help me fix the configuration settings to fix it and it's annoying. So I will always use a Mac until Windows is as good with braille support as the Mac is.

@pawpower @ratking @SapphireRose91 Okay, you have a point there. IOS and Mac have far superior braille support to windows. I use a braille display with my phone sometimes and its easy to set up, no other software required.

@SapphireRose91 @NicksWorld Lol, yes, I guess, it did actually take me like 3 hours to set up Rimworld on the Mac, but not because I couldn't navigate, but because I was a dumbass and didn't install all of the dependancies.

@LeonianUniverse @SapphireRose91 See, I would not have known to do that much less know how to install the proper software to do it.

@NicksWorld @pawpower @SapphireRose91 @ratking Lolol! Maybe change the tone when you are making statements. Something like. I know people use Macs, but it's not for me. I'm more efficient on Windows. Something like that.

@NicksWorld @SapphireRose91 You couldn't do that if I wasn't standing over you to help you understand your computer doesn't have a Floppy Disk Drive and that you don't install things that way.

@NicksWorld @SapphireRose91 @ratking Yes sir you absolutely did start the fire. Giving your opinion is something like I prefer windows because it works for me. What you said was I don't understand why anyone uses a Mac. That is not your opinion that is you bullying people about what software or hardware they choose to use, which actually doesn't impact your life one little bit,

@mcourcel @pawpower @SapphireRose91 @ratking When I was in College and wrote essays, I used windows because I found using the app pages for essay writing to be weird and I needed to turn in my essays properly formatted and I just could not do that with IOS or iPad OS.

@SapphireRose91 @NicksWorld So do I, but look at the questions they ask and the issues they raise. These are usually basic things about reading, they're not corner issues with weird programs, they're to do with the browser, the mailer, all that.

@pawpower @NicksWorld @ratking @SapphireRose91 I agree. Most sadly, and with respect, you're going to wait a long time. Not so much for Windows to be as good as the Mac with braille, my argument is that it already can be, but for Windows to be as stable with braille as the Mac is. Because the Mac's braille support is deeper in the OS, Braille is far more stable than it is with Jaws, let alone NVDA and braille extender, just for example. This is seriously unfortunate, I wish the other stuff on the Mac worked as well so I could switch to it. The two greatest disappointments in terms of accessibility over the past twenty years, with a huge amount of wasted potential, are OSX and Android. Are they usable? Sort of, but we should be flying on them!
