Trump fell asleep during his cabinet meeting. Rubio was talking, and Trump fell asleep. He’s too OLD.

The media would’ve had Biden falling asleep in his own meetings on three times an hour.

@copter_chief In US "corporate media" only delivers infotainment and/or state approved propaganda. No objective news or rational analysis. Go else where for that.

@copter_chief Not just old but sick, and his illness is being covered up.
There are people in government who are years older than trump, Sanders and Pelosi for example, who function normally.
Trump's mental and physical deficits are being kept from the public. Others are running the country.

"13 times Trump has seemingly 'fallen asleep' in his second term"

13 times Trump has seemingly 'fallen asleep' in his second term

US president Donald Trump has repeatedly been accused of falling asleep during press conferences, events and cabinet meetings, in scenes which have only fuelled speculation over the 79-year-old's health. In January, the Republican claimed his last meeting, where he appeared to close his eyes, 'got pretty boring' and that he 'didn't sleep'.

Something is seriously wrong if he’s falling asleep knowing there are cameras rolling on him. How much is he falling asleep behind the scenes?

                @Barbramon1 @copter_chief

I'm not a healthcare professional, but I spent 15 years working on the tech/maintenance team of a senior care home.

I know how old men (often with dementia) act and behave, and particularly in recent months Trump is behaving more like the patients at my former employers (who of course are *not* trusted with starting wars and atom bombs)

I would imagine if you are asleep/groggy during the day there would be a higher risk of taking a tumble as an almost octogenarian.

But the levels of arrogance required to think you can do the job of POTUS when your peers retired some 15/20 years before is one thing, but it’s the party system, donors and voters that ultimately make it a monstrous reality that is incredibly dangerous.

This is as much about Trump as Biden. Reagan set the terrible modern precedent.

Ronald Reagan was 73 when elected for second term and 77 when he left office. And it’s widely believed now that he had dementia in that second term.

@vfrmedia @JugglingWithEggs @copter_chief I remember it well, Him cutting off his toes instead of cutting his toenails. Russia at the time was a geriatric mess too with Brezhnev rambling, Chernenko then Andropov, dropping off, the only sign of hope in the past 50 years out of Russia was Gorbachev who the elderly Putin despised and disrespected by not attending his funeral

As a child in the 80’s I was aware that Reagan was a doddery old man, not all there, prone to gaffs.

In much the same way my kids now look on Trump with pity and laugh at him.

Thankfully they know that the job of US president doesn’t have to belong to someone in their twilight years, because they are aware of previous occupants of the White House.

My first memory of world events was watching the state funeral of Chernenko. I think I was off school sick and it just appeared on the tv at lunchtime when I was expecting to see something like Pigeon Street!

Just remember images of a very cold grey day, an open casket, canons firing and this very distinctive looking man kissing the old dead guy in the coffin.

And so my interest in politics began…

@JugglingWithEggs @vfrmedia @copter_chief if you watch Brezhnevs funeral, just when he was being put in the ground they dropped his coffin. 250 million people in the Soviet Union and they left the burial to just two guys

But at that point the USSR realised old frail men were not who should be leading their country.

And I had thought the USA learned the same lesson a few short years later with the departure of Reagan.

So how did we get back to here, with a confused and sick 79 year old Trump at the helm?

@JugglingWithEggs @vfrmedia @copter_chief if you watch Brezhnevs funeral, just when he was being put in the ground they dropped his coffin. 250 million people in the Soviet Union and they left the burial to just two guys

Given the weight of the coffin, it was metal plated, that does seem weird that they didn’t have more pallbearers. Maybe there were no takers for the job?
