#OtD 20 Mar 1916 Private Abraham Beverstein was shot by firing squad for desertion. Due to disapproval of Jewish enlistment, Beverstein enlisted under the false name of Harris https://stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/9292/abraham-beverstein-executed
