                @mattblaze That nearly happened to me. I had intended to get the paperwork to the accountant yesterday, but was prevented by an unexpected meeting on campus. Today, another form shows up in the mail box.

                  @mattblaze I had an investment in a taxable account that were really annoying in that way, because the company wasn't required to report the tax status of its dividends until after the deadline for brokers to issue 1099s, so my broker always sent me a revised 1099 every year a month or two after I had already filed. (I ended up moving that investment to a Roth IRA just to avoid the tax hassles.)
