@gamingonlinux I remember the rumors about this being reported and was hoping it would turn out false. Disappointing to see it isn't.

That said, as a PC gamer without a PS5, I feel no compulsion to buy a PS5.

@jmcs @gamingonlinux that's any modern day video game console for you, Xbox is just as useless... Only manufacturer that got it more or less right is Nintendo, going with the hybrid handheld console model, working on arm64 socs and working hard on trying to make good exclusives...

@gamingonlinux my last Sony console was the PS2... Struggling to think of a time I was really bummed about not having access to a sony exclusive (or Xbox for that matter)

There are too many good games out there. I mean, I kinda liked wipeout? But I'm not going to pay hundreds of £ for a console for one game I kinda liked.

I'd rather spend the same amount of money buying dozens of quality titles I can run on better hardware

Exclusive games have been part of the DNA of what a PlayStation is from the beginning.
