At dinner end up seated with the air force colonel again and another American who I managed to seriously annoy by joking that American history was quaint. He started yelling at me that my home country was a shithole and something about Kamela Harris that I didn’t understand.
After dessert he started going on about how he calls everyone his brother and the country is too divided.
Ok buddy.
Beginning to think Trump supporters may not have a coherent world view.

@schwa For a long time I wanted to think that these folks were just being performative, and didn’t *really* believe what they say. But I have been strongly disabused of that notion.
