@ZackPolanski funnily enough the capital of Texas, Austin, owns it's utilities.
They are blinded by the Thatcher's ideology against business pragmatism.
In business you don't outsource your key functions that are your business.The business of the UK government is ensuring critical infrastructure works; water, energy, transport.
Thatcher's belief that private companies are more effective & efficient than private ones has demonstrably failed. -
