@GRA3432 I honestly couldn't say. Danish national politics is way weaker and more disorganized than it was 10 years ago.
Denmark used to have some really professional people in politics who knew what they were doing and delivered results: Anders Fogh, Helle Thorning, Per Stig Møller, etc.
They are all gone, and now it is a lot of empty posturing and no real leadership.

@randahl The odds do favour a certer left government, but this is because the moderates look like they’re going to have the deciding votes again. And the Danish peoples party and Denmark democrats are going to have a hard time accepting a coalition with the moderates.
The alleged dumpster fire is overstated. Venstre may be loosing support because of their involvement with the current coalition. But all the other right wing parties are doing well in the polls.

@floe I think the only right wing party which is not a clown show at the moment is the Conservatives. Mona Juul is the former CEO of advertising company Envision. She knows what she is doing, but her party is so caught in the 1950s it only appeals to 7 percent.
Had she been the leader of Venstre or Liberal Alliance, the right would have had a real fighting chance.
I fear we will get an unstable S, SF, M minority government similar to the S, SF, R government at the end of Thorning's term.

@randahl It’s obvious that people here on Mastodon are more left leaning, but that also blinds you guys a little. If you were never considering voting for a right wing party then none of this matters to the election outcome.
Eg. LA voters prefer Alex’ admitting his mistakes over Mette’s blatant lying about the mink scandal and text message deleting. And if the conservatives manage to steal some votes from LA because of the coke, then those voters are still in blue block.

@troelsm Venstre has lost what LA has gained. Conservatives are up by just 3 seats. This would make the right dependent on the anti-muslim vote, and they would still not hold a majority.

@randahl I understand your distaste for DF. But if they have to choose between a center right government or another term for Mette Frederiksen, then they are going to have to make some concessions on that. I think their distaste for Lars Løkke is more of an obstacle - and it’s probably mutual.
And as I tried to explain, what looks unacceptable to someone the left wing is not the same to us on the right wing. To us it’s good that DF can pull some voters from the social democrats.
