If you had to pick _one_, which web platform feature would you like in Firefox that isn't part of the Interop 2026 effort?

@firefoxwebdevs Customizable Selects would be great.
@herschel_r we're actively working on it

-
@firefoxwebdevs Customizable selects would be great of course, but itโs maybe a bit too early. This is a feature that shouldnโt be rushed.
@mvsde it's definitely not too early, we're actively working on it

@firefoxwebdevs Thatโs great to hear!

@firefoxwebdevs selfishly as I want it on my blog, initial-letter support.

@firefoxwebdevs I would've liked to see mobile testing being more reliable and forming part of the main dashboard. It's such a big area to still not be included. I'm aware it's in under investigation, but it's there for a few years now.
If I had to pick one, probably WebNotifications. I use them a lot as a user and there's loads of differences between browsers. None of them work perfectly, but Firefox and Safari in particular are missing a lot of important features like image, renotify, silent and icon (Safari iOS).

@firefoxwebdevs my faves are in Interop 2026. It is an exciting set!
If I had to add one for Firefox it would be progress() https://webstatus.dev/features/progress-function

@job I can't imagine newer versions of XSLT being added. I don't think you'll be happy with this, but you can transform XML with JS https://jakearchibald.com/2025/making-xml-human-readable-without-xslt/

@firefoxwebdevs the CloseWatcher API (I guess maybe implicitly we get that from closedby?).
field-sizing: content would be a nice win too.

Directly support Anchor Positioning API v2

It will nicely supplement the dialog APIs too.

@Lukew @firefoxwebdevs Most of the time, I've seen drop-down, but any of them can be a very good start

@Thain @firefoxwebdevs fwiw Chrome 145 has listbox multiple and it's in the spec too! So hopefully Firefox and WebKit can do this alongside the dropdown single select version (though it's quite a large undertaking overall due to history)

@Thain @firefoxwebdevs nice thing with this is that you can build a custom dropdown multiselect yourself. It'll need JS and the accessibility handling correctly but it's doable now, without you needing to recreate the listbox itself. I suspect that's what most people will end up doing anyway for full control of the design. e.g. an input in the picker for filtering.
