@GlitchGhost @itsfoss Please Mister Linux, we're tired of winning, it's too much winning we can't take it anymore.

@GlitchGhost @mttn @itsfoss If Linux was really winning, we'd see M$ and Apple in panic mode on the consumer side. The fact it's even being talked about at all is due to use weirdos who aren't afraid to talk with regular users about it. My co-worker must be sick and tired of me praising Linux. With that being said, I have helped a couple of people transition out of the M$ realm into the Linux world. I've heard no complaints so far.

Apple won't be in panic mode because they're kind of the mainstream alternative to Microslop and surprisingly affordable these days too, but Microslop was a bit in panic mode because they kind of admitted that people weren't into having AI in every corner of their operating system. Doesn't sound like much but it's pretty big.
But obviously it's not tomorrow that 100M users will leave Windows for Linux, we all knew that already. -

I mean, you can get a Fairphone with e/OS/ and not use microG.
It's as good as it's gonna get for now. -

You can buy it though. Murena ships it to the United States.
The only caveat comes with your carrier because it says on their website that they only recommend using the device on T-Mobile, and it's definitely not compatible with Verizon. -

I appreciate this information. I will share this with others who have been looking for a privacy first solution. I guess it took responding to a strangers post to start the ball rolling. π«‘

@itsfoss
eye washing ! Linux is free but the service around is for companys not free.
For being really top of the world the better service contract wins. My rocket company has contracts with both IT worlds, FOSS and no-FOSS. Fact is Linux Desktop costs more for service. Think about Enterprise-Linuxes. Why only few Distros offer it?
And why doesnt the Arch-Joker here never tells about them ? Think twice -

@mrgrumpymonkey @mttn @GlitchGhost @itsfoss Linux phone #FLX1s from @furilabs probably one of the best user-friendly options right now.
