David Graeber's Bullshit Jobs. Or maybe Debt. Some Marvin Harris could be interesting and useful too, say Why Nothing Works.

I know it's not that shocking but I think a guide to local insects in each region (especially the ants) with cute photos and fun facts would be awesome.
