OMG: today's #OIDFA lecture was on lacemakers and museums and organization in Haute-Loire #France. So many groups celebrate these laces, many upcoming festivals and events. Should be posted on the OIDFA site later.

But they showed this one project that astonished even me. Look at how many bobbins are in use here!

@auris I don't know why it worked for me.

On this page, I pu in the 8.50 and my name.
      Add to cart.
      View cart.
      Proceed to checkout.

It offered a billing page that worked for me, or Paypal.

So it was smooth and typical for me.

@auris Oh, wait--sorry. This is the OIDFA lecture. I thought it was the Royal School of Needlework one.

Let me find the OIDFA ones.

@auris The OIDFA site is awful. You need to get to the Members Only section.

          Steps:
          1. go to oidfa.com
          2. The top navigation to the "MEMBERSHIP" menu
          3. pick MEMBER ONLY information
          4. Now on this page: https://www.oidfa.com/organisation/members/member-secure-information/

          5. Click here to enter Member only area green button at the bottom
          6. This part you have to find the secret login link. CLICK HERE TO LOGIN (image attached).
          7. That will take you to the Wordpress page that you need to log in.

            @auris

            8. Once in Wordpress, the lectures are there. Under "Previous OIDFA lectures".

It's a terrible site. I don't know why all the lace sites are so difficult. We should be sharing all this stuff for free.

@mem_somerville @mem_somerville yeah I managed steps 1-7 but then at the wordpress, the lectures don't show.
and when I click on the home page to lecture, it gets me to the login page (but without the login button). Every time :(. Also tried chrome but with the same outcome. I have to send a picture later as none of my screenshots can be attached (network error?). Thanks for the help!

@auris Oh, how odd. Yes--the "click here" text is just missing!

This is the link that belongs there: https://www.oidfa.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.oidfa.com%2Forganisation%2Fmembers%2Fmember-secure%2F

Maybe you can hop you over that to get to the Wordpress page.

@auris I am stumped. I'm not sure how much tech support they have either.

@mem_somerville @auris looks like tech support equals zero. I was a member for many years, but not anymore. And hearing, sadly, of their obnoxious site problems makes me think I'll continue being an outsider.
