    As Devi Sridhar (UEdinburgh) warns on the new variant of Ebola currently working its way across the DRC, given that we live in an interconnected world (as the Covid pandemic demonstrated all too well):

    'If your neighbour’s house is on fire, you don’t wait & watch. You help to put it out before the fire spreads to yours. That’s the interconnected world we live in, and an important lesson for all politicians watching the crisis unfold'!

      @ChrisMayLA6

      We live in an interconnected world, but we also have a 1% who believe in "Beggar thy Neighbor" self-enrichment.

      They support crises so they can loot the rubble afterwards.

      Creating pandemics in Africa is a favorite.

        @ChrisMayLA6 I guess the problem is that our house is burning and at least some of our neighbours who might be able to help don't believe in fire. If they indeed do believe, they tend to think their house is not able to burn.
