Mastodon was hit by a 'major' DDoS attack that briefly took down parts of the service - Engadget

it's like training wheels, once you know what your kink is on the fedi, get off vanilla mastodon.social, and pursue your passion on another server with other weirdos you vibe with.

Not great reporting there, no comparison of the impact of both. Even for me on mastodon.social (I'm lazy) it wasn't down for very long.. -
