They ain't gonna suddenly be democratic, even if they said they were. 6 decades of sanctions.

@knowprose That's my point. In spite of its significant flaws, and in spite of an economic blockade, it's held up. The US needs to prevent it from serving as a counterexample to capitalist hegemony, and it hasn't really worked.
