@ayo @elk Missing quote posts, advanced search and GIFs not autoplaying were some of the reasons I'm sticking – for now – with the "official" PWA after using Elk for some time. That said: still love the look and feel. Recommended it a lot.

@SharpCheddarGoblin @ayo @elk A lot of well crafted and thoughtful customization features, e.g. options to hide distracting elements like emojis in usernames, to rearrange elements in the bottom navigation, to change the colour scheme or font size. Overall more pleasant design.

@Ekyllier @haayman @ayo @elk I've tested it and there doesn't seem to be a quote feature yet. Moreover, Elk still doesn't display quoted posts within posts. Instead of a nested view, it's just RE: with a plain URL.

@ayo @elk I've tried it a couple of times.

Main reason that keeps me away is that when I block of mute someone, their posts are not removed from the timeline, I need to refresh the page.

If I block or mute, it's for content I don't want to see right now that's egregious enough for me to not just skip over it, so that limitation is a rather hard "nope".

I'd also love to see an easier way to self-host, from pre-built images, instead of having to rebuild at each update.

It's still probably the best looking Mastodon client I've ever seen, though, so it would be dad to see it go away.
