How do they think the next iteration of GIGO regurgitated code will be validated and debugged if nobody understands how the black box works?
Not wanting to understand but just wanting the quick answer is a clear trend and implicit outcome of frequent AI use.

@jschauma The scary thing is that this isn't just for software, it's everywhere. I've heard similar concerns from InfoSec, Accounting, etc, that new talent pipelines will dry up and no one will be around to replace those who leave.

@jschauma As a late-fifties senior engineer, I see unlimited job security for as long as I want to bother with it. In a few years, the number of available senior engineers will drop dramatically as the industry has essentially stopped to train new talent.
