It weighs fourteen pounds, tops (which I am sure you know). But yeah, I wouldn't want a fourteen-pound weight to land on my head either, much less one with beak and claws like that.(Also I have seen this happen in a pub. For about a second I thought they were looking at me... Nothing came of it, luckily.)

@cascadepine Being a bald eagle it probably spotted a dead thing to eat nearby. Also l, that is just "I see something worth a second look" posture.

Was out unplugging the car to coil up its charging cord, this morning. Entire time I was outside, there was a red hawk keening from a tree in my diagonally adjacent neighbor's yard. -

@cascadepine The photography is not as good, but I got a Turkey flyover the other day in my yard. People think they can't fly...
This was almost the National Bird instead of the Eagle IIRC.
