I've sat through several teams meetings using chromium on Linux, and even turned on the camera & mic and participated a bit.

my main problem was I didn't know where the mute button was and accidentally disturbed one the meetings with talking to someone locally.

Amazingly it works slightly less badly in the browser than using the installed client .

@sundogplanets I had to install extra ram in my linux laptop to run Teams. Typical MS bloatware. Best of luck!

@sundogplanets I always set up a Jitsi link for safety, especially for on-line exams. Teams has never failed to give shuddering speech, as a minimum. But we always start there because it's institutional policy. We have no policy to prevent us from going elsewhere when it abandons us part-way through.
