The U.S. is a net petroleum exporter. A shortage of Middle East crude and LNG need not necessarily make U.S. prices go up. The price of oil is the same worldwide (except Russian exports). The result is that American consumers will pay at the pump and the furnace.

@emilylowan While Premier, Ms Clarke also claimed that LNG was “green energy.” What the hell she had been consuming in order to say that with a straight face is beyond me. The grift of oil — in any of its forms — by governments of Canada and its provinces is long past a presumption of acceptance.
