"Amazon holds engineering meeting following AI-related outages"
This is one of several that have happened over the last month
Turns out to automate IT infrastructure, it probably isn't enough to make a text generator that can trick non-experts (not even really that impressive tbh) like so many AI boosters have been suggesting, bc it turns out that text generation and understanding are very different things
Lets fail with increasingly critical infrastructure just to make sure tho

@ekis Why don't they ask the AI itself? Put the AI on a PIP!

"AI-assisted changes must now be approved by senior engineers before deployment"
So now they have experts checking and fixing the work of a text generator?
Haven't we already seen how this plays out in every similar attempts to use it? Where it ends up being more work?
Maybe they can find an IT infrastructure automation that is busy-work like level of difficulty, and apply it there
Pretty sure this is what playing out and why something like ~90-95% of pilot programs using AI have failed

@mshiltonj Their idea is better, they are going to have multiple AIs talk each other
Long as none of us are good enough at math to ever do the math underpinning if that concept works or not, we should be fine
