      @ginaintheburg @JonCooper and if that’s a trumpism measurement, you could probably knock off at least two inches from that too

          What they meant to say he is too privileged to serve in the military.

            Well, if in his mind, Trump's the King, then it follows that Barron's a bloody prince.

            Except in other more courageous monarchies like UK, they expect their princes to serve in the military & go to war if necessary.

              @ginaintheburg @the5thColumnist @JonCooper actually, only the second in line gets to put his ass on the line for King and Country.
              Anyway, the Navy doesn't count in modern warfare. Floating around in a hotel hundreds of miles from the action is highly overrated.

                @edgeofeurope @the5thColumnist @JonCooper

                Bu-bu-bu-but Harry had an illustrious 10-yr military career, including combat service in Afghanistan on the front lines as a helicopter pilot.
                https://www.cbsnews.com/news/prince-harry-ends-10-year-career-with-the-army/

                And he's still in the line of succession. Unfortunately, there are 4 others ahead of him, including his asshat brother, William.

                So maybe the Brits aren't so smart after all. ☹️

                              I think your founding fathers made the error of assuming future political leaders would be good people that act in good faith when they designed their political institutions, and that voters would ensure that.

                              They never imagined the money as speech and corporations as people scenario and and a 2nd Amdt interpreted to mean "unregulated" gun ownership, amongst other things.

                                Indeed this is true. Thank you for understanding.

                                Unfortunately, their confidence in the essential decency & intelligence of humankind did not anticipate the corrosive effect of modern tech & media that constantly plays to the most base instincts & rewards authoritarians with unrivaled reach & influence coupled with an only-profits-matter school of capitalism. We left Adam Smith behind a looong time ago.
