    @munificent These are great! Is there a pattern somewhere? I suspect my daughter would be all over this. (Adult, but all about critters and environment, and crafts)

    @tim_lavoie Yes! The pattern is https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/laprawnda-the-shrimp. I'm knitting them using Malabrigo Rios yarn in the Belinda colorway.

                    When recovering from surgery, here are some ideas for how to take care of yourself:

                    1. Get lots of rest. Your body is rebuilding!

                    2. Now is the perfect time to catch up on that book series you've been meaning to read.

                    3. Hydrate well and eat easy to digest food. Eat smaller meals more often. Maybe keep a snack bag by the couch/bed.

                    4. KNIT SHRIMP.

                    @munificent I hope your recovery goes quickly and well. The shrimp are a delight to see. Excellent use of convalescence, making the world better, one prawn at a time.

                        #PostOfTheWeek (season 3):
                        Crocheting a shrimp typically involves creating an amigurumi body using a magic ring, single crochets, increases, and decreases, often worked in continuous rounds. The body is usually stuffed and curved, with a tail created by chaining and decreasing, or by working stitches directly onto the body.

                          @munificent
                          Specific Techniques:
                          Curving: To create a shrimp shape, sew or stitch the tail end to the middle of the body.
                          Color Changes: Use white and orange/pink yarn to create a more realistic, cooked appearance.
                          Tempura Style: For a tempura shrimp, use thicker yarn and the alpine stitch to simulate the texture.
