You don't have to use this feature, but the fact it exists in an open source, consumer facing mobile app is quite unique.
I wasn't able to find any free/open source implementation, so I had to build one.
Let's not shame devs who build popular feature implementations, just because you don't use them.
We should be better than that.

@dansup thanks for this. It's what the internet is for

@dansup That sounds eerily like the AI that publicly shamed a developer for rejecting its code.

@Cenbe You think I'm an AI?
I've been building Pixelfed since 2018, I can assure you that I'm not some OpenClaw bot and that my credentials (and git history) speak for itself.
Thanks though, that is def a first for me.

@dansup 1. If its fun they will come. 2. Comment speed bumps like this; you already seem immune. Full reflection; seeing your internet/energy-to-commit journey accidentally being public helped me through my own motivation crisis. 3. You make pop filters today, I make a LibreOffice template for local governance and protest an ICE murder (Buffalo), someone else opens a hobby resistance radio, another highlights democratic values in Star Wars, another devs a handshake code. Keep going, its worth it

@dansup you're hyper productive to the point that most of us can't understand how you do it. Therefore clearly an AI

@dansup @Cenbe I think he was referring to this occurrence https://theshamblog.com/an-ai-agent-published-a-hit-piece-on-me/ (this is the developer blog reaction) where a llm agent shamed a developer that rejected its pr.
But he is not the developer of the project, just a random person with a bad and rude take: it's not his role to judge how you invest your developer time AND he demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of the target you're building for.
You did not even shame him, just pointed out he was rude. -
