@JackMexa4 @Strandjunker You would think it wouldn't, but it actually does because people *as a whole* are Just That Dumb
.They handle this by compartmentalizing it away — essentially just ignoring it.
Even as gas prices soar I still hear the sports cars tearing through my neighborhood, everyone running their lawnmowers, one neighbor just leaving one sitting idle for a whole day at a time refilling it each time it runs out, etc etc. Ignoring reality is a powerful drug.
