I moved to GrapheneOS to get away from this and have been very happy with my de-googled phone. One thing to watch for is if your former Android phone needs repair make sure that the shop won't try try to restore it to Android. Google has been strong arming repair shops to do this. "Don't be evil, my ass." They are the locus of evil! -
