The question I keep coming back to: is the AI infrastructure build-out a cycle or a secular shift? My framework says secular — the compute requirement per capability level is exponential, and that curve doesn't bend for cyclical capex.

@blogdiva I've said this elsewhere, but I had a huge book of Bible stories for children (1960s era) and it was that level of gooey, smarmy illustration. VERY slick. And I know it's still in my head.
Before AI, the late Thomas Kinkade hit a similar sweet-spot for soft generic Christians with his "light"-filled paintings. He was semi-local in my part of California, took over a historic house that was a Mexican restaurant, made it a gallery. Bleahh.

@kmck @blogdiva I fully believe in the right to and from religion, that being said I think it at one time feeds into the same mechanisms fast foods use with colors to affect the brain coupled with a reinforcement visually of the general vibe that Christians have when doing activities that often get used in place of critical assessment i.e. having a rock show or worship that instills uncritical belief, obedience and cultural expectations/acceptance. Which can be really dangerous.
