@benroyce I reported and blocked this user. Different opinions are ok — spreading racist q-anon/MAGA conspiracy theories is where I say nope.

@benroyce @DavidNielsen @randahl Demographics is destiny, and if nothing changes, the EU will be Islamic in a few decades. That is math, not politics.

They have also made a lot of dumb economic decisions, like Germany becoming dependent on Russian gas and then getting rid of its nuclear power.

Russia is worse, yes. That doesn't make the EU good. I'd like to see Eastern Europe remain independent from both.

If the EU and Russia get into a war they will want the USA to come in. We should not.

@mike805 @benroyce @DavidNielsen @randahl Heard of NATO by any chance? Your far right replacement theory is laughable claptrap and racist with it. The EU is currently experiencing a large influx (hundreds of thousands in the past year) from the US. It won't ever be American. Clearly you don't know anything about the EU and have the intelligence and ethics of your leader. Suggesting you stick to Twitter is generous. TruthSocial would be more appropriate.

I remember being really shocked finding out Trump won in 2024. Because I new that was a decisive dark moment in history.

On Sunday, there is a new decisive moment, when the Hungarians decide if Viktor Orbán's corrupt regime continues, or Péter Magyar takes over.

          Let this time be different.

The Hungarians need a brighter future.

The world needs a brighter future.

I really hoped this will be better, but as far as I have read Péter Magyar is a soft liner of Viktor Orbán.

                @DavidNielsen @randahl

we want to be free of Orban, so let's get Magyar in first

*then* apply the criticism of Magyar

                not now!

Magyar is pro-EU, Orban is busy licking Putin's boots

that choice alone is a huge earthquake

                you understand that

                therefore:

right now, on April 9, you want to be singing the praises of Peter Magyar

                right?

                a little strategic intelligence please!

@benroyce @randahl I will not be doing so, but I will be happy that Orbán is hopefully gone (he did do an impressive job rigging the election system, so I am not entirely sure he will actually lose, or do a Trump when he does).

I don’t prescribe to the idea that in order to not be shit, let alone actually be good, we have to first tolerate shit light.

There are surely not shit candidates the world could promote and promise good relations with, to give them a serious boost in the polls.

the problem with your statement is every candidate possible has problems. and even if they were practically angels, simple human gossip would find something, anything, about them that could be criticized, and reduce them to "shit lite"

essentially: in life, yes, your only options, now, in all history, and forever more, is between shit and shit lite

and if you don't make a choice, you only guarantee shit

while if you consistently choose, you iterate to better

@benroyce @DavidNielsen @randahl In addition to this I think most people do not much care for foreigners to "advise" or "endorse" candidates in their countries elections.
