    @ApostateEnglishman
    The increase in tats and piercings is noticeable.

    The only time I ever briefly danced with the thought of a tat, was maybe to get my military ID number engraved on my wrist as a daily reminder never ever to do that again.

        yeah luckily lewis and clark could get the ancient alien tech from the grand canyon to george washington just in time to beat the british in the revolutionary war. napoleon almost got it instead. that would have totally screwed with history, and i understand history well and can appreciate the implications (/s)

        @benroyce @tantramar @mina @Bugspriet @TheBreadmonkey @overholt It’s how we got Mt Rushmore too! They say it was dynamite and decades, but I’ve seen dynamite, it just makes craters, it doesn’t make faces! And how would dynamite even know what George looked like? Whereas ancient aliens, they were there with him, propelling that boat across the Potomac. They made the artist paint the alien tech out. Because conspiracy. True story! 😇

            I didn't have the courage to get a sleeve length tattoo until I was in my 50s. I had a series of incredibly traumatic events happen in sequence, and as I was trying to put all the pieces back together, I looked at the art I'd had on my office wall for years while I doddled and hemmed and hawed about getting a piece that big. It's one of my favorite arts that I've done, and one day I took it off the wall, called my friend who owns a shop and said "I'm getting a tattoo today. Do you want to do it, or am I forced to let amateurs lay hands on me where you can see it?"

            It took 6-8 hours, I had to get up and walk around a couple of times, but it's gorgeous. The looks I get sometimes though, standing there looking all senior executive consultant, then I push my sleeves up and it's serpents and moons and torches and keys and spears. Heh.

                    @benroyce @tantramar @mina @Bugspriet @MissConstrue @TheBreadmonkey @overholt I think positing *two* alien space faring civilizations with a pyramid fetish is going to fall afoul of Occam's razor.

                      yeah but William of Ockham who came up with Occam's Razor was an alien themselves. they implanted the idea of Occam's Razor in your head to cover it all up
