    @Amoshias @benroyce

    Their core beliefs are sadism and self-interest.

    Sadism they like when other people are getting punished. The more punishment, the better.

    Self-interest they like when they feel themselves (rightly or not) to gain something from their participation in fascism.

    For the fascist, a prison is the perfect confluence of these two desires: a place where people can be punished and where money can be made.

        The question now is:

        Will your average #MAGA supporter, who considers opposition to American military interventionism a core belief, now fall in line behind #Trump, or notice how they are idiot victims of a confidence game?

        When MAGA fused with #Qanon in disgust with elite #pedophile rings, was that genuine? Or was it an "accuse the other side of that which you are guilty" Goebbels trick?

        Do zombies grow brains?

        Was it all a lying game of deflection from their own malice?

        @benroyce I think that with every betrayal of the values he purports to uphold there is attrition within the maga base. Even if it's invisible because many of those who lose faith still overtly support the party, but meanwhile they're buying gold because they know it'll all fall apart within the next few years.

        When the regime comes crashing down these people won't be holding the line, they'll be bugging out with their gold.

          lazy losers misusing #HannahArendt's quote drives me bonkers

          the quote is from her 1964 essay "Personal Responsibility Under Dictatorship"

          it is not in the context of a vote

          "BoTh SiDeS tHe SaMe":

          a stupid ignorant lie from people who are fine with #fascism

          nonvoters are fine with fascism

          they could choose to escape fascism, but they are entitled or morons

          they want perfect, now, or they can't be bothered. this is not morality, this is capitulation to fascism

            @benroyce It's important to have the whole passage though. "It's WEAKNESS has always been that those who choose the lesser evil forget quickly that they chose evil."

            It's an argument not just for participation, but for ACTIVE, ONGOING participation. We cannot abdicate our responsibilities as citizens simply because we have done the lowest level of our due diligence by voting.

                @benroyce I would rather expect them to "discover" some shape - shifting lizard zombies secret intervention now. Or mysterious waves from Mars. I mean comme on - those are "legit" common sense explanations that sound probable right? πŸ˜‚ Not like some egghead intelectualist telling ya all stone stupid suckers XD I bet some MAGA republican can build a new multi billion cult on that XD And further disrupt half a planet.

                  @renardboy

                  they are morons being herded to their own destruction

                  but they get to hate on trans people and immigrants, so they are fine with it

                  or too stupid to understand how they are victims of a confidence game, the same as suckers falling for a financial scam call or a "romantic interest" from a pig butchering scheme on social media

                  or too prideful to admit it

                  prideful ignorance used by evil to destroy the world

                  that is all #MAGA is

                        evil can be described as nothing more than manipulating a great pool of stupid people for power and money

                        evil is simply distilled, weaponized stupidity

                            @benroyce and now you know why I am an ardent advocate of public education and am vehemently opposed to religious schooling.

                            They are too stupid to teach. They must be indoctrinated. The right recognized this. The left is too chicken-shit to say it.

                            If you cannot teach your children to be non-racist, active, knowledgable citizens who support democracy and the rule of law, then we will fucking do it for you, and NO, there's NO FUCKING VOUCHERS OR VACCINE EXEMPTIONS.
