    In the next releases of Element clients, if we notice your key storage (previously "key backup") is messed up, we will create a new key storage version and everything will just work.

    We're working, bit by bit, to make using Matrix pain-free. It's not easy, because no-one has built end-to-end encrypted federated messaging with history before.

    But we are edging forward.

      @andybalaam I disagree, because "truly end-to-end encrypted, decentralized & federated messaging" has been done at leadt trice befire #Matrix came along:

      • #XMPP+#OTR ( @gajim & @monocles / #monoclesChat)
      • #XMPP+#OMEMO ( #Gajim & monocles chat)
      • #PGP/MIME ( @delta / #deltaChat & @thunderbird / #Thunderbird)…

      Like I've been in #PGP-encrypted #MailingLists before Matrix and @signalapp were even proposed!

          @andybalaam still, I truly want #Matrix to succeed, be user friendly and easy to #SelfHost, #Setup, #Backup and Restore!
