The USA and Russia have both hung "Out to Lunch" signs on their countries as the psychopathic criminals robbing both nations blind, deaf and dumb exist in delusion funnels of yes-critters and flattering bullshit versions of events and each nation is less of a rational actor than that guy on the bus said you were a ham sandwich could he chew on your coat.

It must be so tempting right now for Xi looking at Putin and Trump and their excesses. Taiwan and India right there, he just hands the dynamite to the chaos monkey like those two did and who's going to stop him?

Who's stopping either of them? Or Netanyahu, dripping with the blood of innocents, a one man hit squad for journalists telling the truth?

Xi must be looking at the news every morning and thinking why the hell not? He can badass at the world and make it lick his shoes like them. Why not

China just needs to not be stupid and everyone else's stupidity will make them boss just by default of not bleeding themselves out in acts of badly thought-out insane aggression.

Nature and global politics abhor a vacuum and can forgive a lot of sins - look what the US and Russia got away with all this time - so China being the rational superpower will make the world see their standards as default, which is still kind of a work in progress given problematic quality control standards there.

There are documentaries about China trying to export China to diverse locals like Captain Kirk expounding on Federation virtues to a recent First Contact and the one common element is everything that works in China does not work like that anywhere else and trying to make it work drives the field team squirrelly.

They'll figure it out if only through trial and error eventually though to secure supply lines for trade and that works best when everyone's not pissed at you as Putin & Trump show.

But it has still got to be tempting Xi.

Dude's as totalitarian as the rest of them. Much more competent.

A moment presents itself could he resist to play the long game?
