@acb That reminds me: does anyone know what the implications of the lack of declaration of war are for insurance contracts?
Is there some sort of "looks like a war, quacks like a war" standard, or, in absence of a declaration, does it end up in the same bucket as the sort of terrorism where half he people involved are intelligence agents but legally it's not a 'war'?

@fuzzyfuzzyfungus @acb I understand that many insurance policies exclude “acts of God” or war as a valid reason for a claim.
@wtrmt @fuzzyfuzzyfungus @acb I remember having a bike insurance as a teenager (for some reason my parents thought that was a good idea?) and being very amused that the insurance specified it was not valid in the case of a nuclear attack or nuclear incident.
