@VeroniqueB99 I agree wholeheartedly with the message, but will never find this image anything but tasteless and surely triggering for some

      Well it's unfair.

#trump doesn't plan to commit suicide just to end the constitution and rule of law.

        Backstory worth knowing!

        - The cartoon was drawn by Marc Murphy for the Louisville Courier-Journal โ€” where it was rejected. Minor detail: Drawn 7 years ago โ€” on 4/25: https://www.threads.com/@professormarcmurphy/post/DI2VBlXN-7_/drawn-6-years-go-today-it-was-rejected-and-called-unfair-and-alarmist

        - Marc Murphy is not just a sharp-eyed, award-winning political cartoonist for the Courier-Journal. He is also a practicing attorney and Professor of Practice at the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law: https://profiles.louisville.edu/marc.murphy

@jade_smith @VeroniqueB99 Your comment is triggering. FFS those were 3000 people, just a US war Tuesday. People who get triggered by towers live with golden spoons unaware of the amount of corpses that litter their daily life. Get a grip man.

@skaphle letโ€™s keep the discourse respectful and refrain ad hominem arguments, please. I appreciate the point youโ€™re making, I just think using this *specific* event in a political cartoon has an actual, unintended impact, even I agree with its message. One can hold both thoughts at the same time

I hate to say this but you all missed the timing. This started just after FDR passed away. The GOP tried the first shot with McCarthy then Nixon picked it up and added the christian right, then Reagan picked it up and added corporations to the list of GOP supporters. K-Street, through Bush till today. Trump is just the Cherry on top for the Right. They, all along, have wanted Control with no responsibility. So there I fixed it. Peace
