Genius should be totally dismissed for these folks. They stole the ideas from others.
Amazon = Whole Earth Catalog with a fee. Facebook, Instagram . . = nothing more than The Well, any number of hobbiest's running BBS's & Mastodon.
Now the real tricky part AI & Robots to take the jobs away so they will have no one buying anything except the bare necessities & what we can't build ourselves.

Agreed, but if only it were to just sell us ads, but the reality is much worse. They are using this deep knowledge to influence and shape consent, and it has been remarkably successful.
