#Reform are a danger to women !
The Nazi slogan you may be trying to remember was Kinder, Küche, Kirche, which translates to Children, Kitchen, Church. It represented the regime's idealized role for women centered on domesticity and childbearing.
@Geri You can however go to the other extreme. I recall a Labour parliamentary candidate here towards the beginning of the century who seemed to be proposing that the government should hire half the women in the country to provide child care services so that the other half could go out to work ... providing child care for the first half.

@Geri This guy's in our area, the hustings he said this crap at was near me

@welshpixie awful awful
Was he taken to task?

@Geri I wasn't there, I saw another local green party candidate talking about it the day after, but yeah I think he was. Apparently he was asked if that view is representative of Reform, and he said something like, no, that's just his opinion, he doesn't speak for the Reform party; and they were like, uh, yeah you kinda do, that's the point of you being here

Mark Lawrence would have been more accurate if he'd said "both" the women he knew preferred Kinder, Kuche, Kirchen rather than living full adult lives.

@SqueletteCool Some years later I was chatting to her at a count, we were watching the same box.
At some point she said "I'm a socialist."
So I asked in a feigned puzzled voice "so what are you doing in the Labour party?"
"They haven't kicked us *all* out yet," she muttered.

@Geri A small clue would be that if the people you are trying to force to do something would actually prefer doing exactly that, you wouldn't have to force them.
