    Doug Gurr (ex head of Amazon UK) has been chair of the Competition & Markets Authority for a year (his interim appointment has just been confirmed).

    What has been his record over the last 12 months? Well for the first time in nearly a decade the CMA has waved through *every* merger referred to it & blocked none.

    But I'm sure that's a coincidence & nothing to do with his past, or the Govt.'s desire to placate the business community!

      @ChrisMayLA6

      Utterly disgusting.

      Corporate consolidation is deeply corrosive to society - and as we have repeatedly seen, it's dangerous for democracy

        @ChrisMayLA6 They stopped working for us with Blair.

        We can't even have clean rivers, it's no surprise they will not regulate competition.

        It seems like they actually want civil disobedience, because they sure as shit aren't listening to us, or even reading the room.

        Do they forget that we know who they are and where they live? :))
