I've been using #LinuxMint off and on for the past 18 months. Here is why it has been disappointing:

#1. It just works like my #Windows11 OS computer with no surprises.
#2. I expected a huge learning curve, and initially that curve existed. But no more. It just works.
#3. I expected new and exciting revelations when using Linux. Cool new thing with cool new software and cool new uses in my life. That didn't happen.

Linux Mint just works for me.

I am sorry to hear that your Linux experience has been mundane and bland. Allowing you to just use your own computer to do the things you want to do.

In there real world there are many supposed 'Billionaires' who actually have very little real money. Instead, they have enormous debt. They can often be found out because of their history of going bankrupt often as they struggle to balance their appearance of wealth against the borrowing they do to finance that appearance.

You can adapt their strategy as a 'pseudo-hacker'...

Every now and then, when others can see your computer monitor, run a 'sudo apt update' or sudo apt upgrade' at a terminal on your screen.

Install a system monitor like bashtop and run that at a terminal in full screen mode (F11).

This will make you appear to Windows and Mac/OS users as some king of hacking wizard with Unix grey-beard powers.

Added Benefit: There is zero risk of going bankrupt!
