https://mojeek.com@forgetpassword yes I know about Mojeek
(its existence), but I should read up on it more. It's interesting.And a bunch of browsers have used startpage as the default when I install them, I'm curious why.

@Rick_d_card indeed
. Maybe it was the default in your browser? What browser do you use? I had Brave preinstalled with startpage on my ZorinOS.Disclaimer: I don't use Brave. I use Vivaldi, Waterfox and Mullvad.

Other (better?) ones:
Probably the best experience and transparent business model, but expensive: https://metager.org/
A real (not meta) search engine: https://www.mojeek.com/
Self hosted meta engine: https://docs.searxng.org/

I would want to about the Mojeek "story". What makes it unique, what are it's strengths. What is the "business plan"/income stream to finance the operations. And they need a stronger visual identity including logo/icon. Maybe it'll be my next employer? I can do their visual design and coms

There are many nice things about it when giving it a quick look. Also, why do you hear so little about it? How many are they? I need to read up on this.
