    Early merch from those 1st few months following the UK release of #StarWars in 1978. Bought with pocket money, avidly traded in school playgrounds, and otherwise begged for at Christmases and birthdays.

        @retrosponge @Richard_Littler i had the trading cards, the C3P0 and R2D2 figures, and also the Sounds of Star Wars, but we had it on cassette.

          @luketrevorrow @Richard_Littler I collected the cards as well. My dad used to get them and open them in advance and swap the cards around so I didn't get too many doubles in any pack and get upset, then close them up again.

            @Richard_Littler I remember getting the Geoff Love album, thinking I was getting the original soundtrack. Boy was I disappointed 😕

              @Richard_Littler Oh, my! I had both those albums and played them so much the grooves were practically worn smooth.

                @Richard_Littler

                Oh wow, weird nostalgia cos I had that hardcover annual, bottom row, one from the right, and had completely forgotten about it.

                Sadly it got donated to charity when I was in my late teens, along with a stupid number of action figures, in a branded carry case, along with a bunch of extra accessories for the figures I got from sending in proof-of-purchase seals: a backpack for Luke to carry Yoda in, extra guns, grappling hook, breathing apparatus from inside the space slug...
