@gamingonlinux I mean, it kind of always was. From the get go it was built on top of ML upscaling and, ultimately, what people call "AI" these days is the rebranding and continuation of this nonsense

@gamingonlinux@mastodon.social I don't like how it changes the color tone. Artists worked hard on color grading for the tone they wanted.

I also don't like that it changes the Resident Evil character from a natural blonde to having bleached hair with regrowth coming through, as that's not what the artist intended.

Some of the shading/lighting looks better though, but I wonder if it might be possible to achieve similar results through graphical tweaks and tricks.

This looks attrocious. I don't want my games to look like a hyper edited Mr.Beast thumbnail.
