With a new propaganda film, the Trump regime characterises the war in Iran as a liberation which makes it possible for the Iranian people to replace the religious fanatics.

It mentions nothing about how the Iranian people will get a voice in all this, but seems to presume that if enough bombs are dropped, enough buildings are destroyed, and enough people are killed, then magically a new and better country will emerge.
There is no historic example of that ever working.

@randahl they would tell you that replacing Mossadegh with Shah Palavi worked really well, no complaints

@randahl trump and his regime are "playing war". None of the people in this matter, US or Iranian. There is no plan, no schedule, no strategy. It's reality TV and then trump will demand a Peace Prize. The motives don't even matter. It's mindless, stupid, unnecessary and criminal. No reason, no excuse.

If Verhoeven was making Starship Troopers today he could easily do the Federal Network sequences with screen-grabs and they'd be just as (more) over-the-top.
