If you didn't expect Keir Starmer to hold the line on non-cooperation with US/Israeli air strikes on Iran, you'll be unsurprised he's now said that UK bases can be used for 'defensive' attacks on Iranian military bases.

And then he used the phrase that UK bases will be used for 'specific & limited defensive purpose'; of course, any similarity to the claims the Tories made about breaking international law is just a coincidence.

Labour's support will further ebb away.

@ChrisMayLA6 Starmer is now a war criminal just like Blair. This war is even more illegal, as there has been no authorisation or sanction by Senators or politicians in USA. Nor has this even been discussed in Westminister, or a vote taken on it. I hope this costs Labour any remaining credibility along with Reform - both are cheering on POTUS in the illegal actions. 🤬

@ChrisMayLA6 I can see the Qataris benefit from the RAF defending them; how does Starmer benefit?
Are we now trading the RAF to fight in exchange for more dosh from the QIA sovereign wealth fund? What’s the going rate?

Starmer spends so much time sitting on the fence he must have b***s of steel! He has no principles whatsoever.

I suspect outside the mastodon bubble most Brits are fine with attacking Iran, regardless of what one thinks of Trump. They are not exactly the "good guys"

@ChrisMayLA6 Keir "we feel this every day" Starmer is likely to be very much pro-Israel for some time. And it will likely take some time before Labour will forget about their removal of Jeremy Corbyn. 😰

                  Quotes from article :

Starmer : "I understand and I sympathise and I support Zionism."
                  ,,,

"I don't know how many people know this - my wife's family are Jewish and we have got extended family in Israel. We feel this every day."

But frontrunner also reveals he has extended family in Israel, saying: 'We feel this every day'

@ChrisMayLA6 he thinks he's cleverer than the rest of us but 'lying' isn't smart, just easy.

@steviesyerda @ChrisMayLA6 everything Starmer does now is gift to the Greens, who are viable alternatives to his party in people's eyes after Gorton and Denton.

Not a thing was learned from coming in third, the course of the Labour Party will not change while Keir is in No 10
