@itsfoss this is the "sshh let people enjoy things" when anyone complains about shit that is literally hostile & oppressive to many people like sports & astrology. Except this time it's not just meaningless pastimes that happen to have been weaponized against certain people, it's the systems your entire life & identity run on that are weaponized & fuck you for pointing it out & suggesting an improvement or even potential solution depending on the exact problem being dealt with. Unreal.

I've been bothered on whether I should go back to Linux or not.
On one side it's just too awesome and I don't need to develop here on why it is, but on the other side battery on my laptop and gaming on my desktop have just performed so much better on Windows, and it's difficult to justify the loss in efficiency for the terminal and additional privacy considering that I already barely have time to use my computers at all.
(I debloat my Windows so I don't have the Copilot slop and so on) -

@itsmeholland @itsfoss So much this, proprietary software poses an existential threat not just to its direct users (who "choose" it) but to their communities as well. They're building mass surveillance systems and promoting fascist regimes, nobody is safe as long as Big Tech is around. I'm sorry to be all apocalyptic, but it's true and it's becoming unignorable.
