    Starmer's go-to excuse: 'I was in the dark'. Don't believe it.

    "Starmer has followed a trajectory of career-enhancing ignorance."

    This week, Starmer said he didn't know Mandelson had failed security vetting for the post of US ambassador.

    Note: In 2017, Starmer joined the oligarchs' Trilateral Commission without telling his then leader, Corbyn. Notably, Mandelson was also invited.

        @DrALJONES
        Sir Humphrey: Bernard, Ministers should never know more than they need to know. Then they can't tell anyone. Like secret agents; they could be captured and tortured.
        Bernard: [shocked] You mean by terrorists?
        Sir Humphrey: [seriously] By the BBC, Bernard.
