@LilahTovMoon I guess that's one way to get usable space out of it, though they probably could have used a little more cost benefit analysis before purchase.

@LilahTovMoon i don't know. I'm kinda impressed. sure, I don't know why you'd buy a cybertruck, but the diy topper makes me less likely to hate the person driving it? seems practical, at least. and like it's used for work.

@LilahTovMoon That is, uhm... kind of impressive in its own way.

I feel like they could have spent less by selling the piece of crap and buying something that won't trap them in a death fire someday, but each to their own.

(Then again, this definitely looks mostly done by hand, so who knows. It's even very poorly painted, lol.)

@LilahTovMoon and yet it also somehow looks like they turned it into something useful!

@LilahTovMoon An "ill-fitting" cap matches the rest of the body which came from the factory with about the same level of fitment.

At least this makes the thing a little bit useful. A lot less useful than basically any van as well as a lot less reliable and a lot more expensive... but still an improvement in usability.

@uastronomer @LilahTovMoon that was my first thought, but my second thought was that the whole thing might just slide off the back when it goes uphill

@LilahTovMoon it gets even worse when you know there's only plastic attachments for the panels
