In the sole summary of the #FBI interview that was released, the woman told investigators that she did not know Epstein’s full identity until 2019, when a friend sent her a photograph of #Epstein. She said she then recognized the person who she said had raped her.

The woman told the agents she still had the photo on her phone, & they noted that it was a widely distributed photo of #Epstein & #Trump, acc/to the doc. She gave tagents permission to take a photo of the image but asked them to crop out Trump. When asked why, her lawyer said the woman “was concerned about implicating additional individuals, & specifically any that were well known, due to fear of #retaliation,” acc/to #FBI memo. She said that as a teenager in South Carolina, she was asked to babysit at a house on Hilton Head Island. But after she arrived, there were no children to babysit, & only a man she came to know as Jeff who she said plied her with alcohol, marijuana & cocaine. She described him raping her on multiple occasions.

The woman joined a lawsuit later in 2019 against Epstein’s estate. She subsequently dropped her claim. Court records do not indicate if she received any financial settlement. A court record from 2021 said she was separately deemed ineligible for compensation from a fund set up for #Epstein victims, but it did not specify why.

@Nonilex It's stunning to me -- and to most of the rest of the world, I'm sure -- that the same people in charge of prosecuting demonstrable pedophiles are also *the same people* who are protecting pedophiles entirely because of how much power said pedophiles currently have.

@Nonilex I am confused as to why her claims in the one doc released are a surprise. I recall reading those accusations years ago. Thry were in the lawsuit she dropped. At the time there was a lot of chatter about them, but it was countered by the fact she had dropped her case and people seemed to just shrug and move on. And the press was happy to drop it because they get more clicks from maga and clicks are $.
Is it just that the overall issue has finally gotten serious attention?

This comes after Garcia viewed unredacted #DOJ documents, which include specific allegations against #Trump that are not reflected in the DOJ’s public database, including #FBI interview notes with a woman who accused Trump of sexually assaulting her as a #minor.
